Maybe you want a reference beside your notes, or a conversation beside a page you are reading. Those are reasons to want an extended workspace, rather than another copy of the same screen.
Keep your familiar phone
If your iPhone already does what you need, replacing the whole device just to explore a different screen format can feel like a big step. This concept puts the new display in a removable case.
These are use cases the design aims to explore. Specific app combinations and independent multitasking are not implemented or confirmed.

Apple documents how to connect an iPhone to an external display. That documentation does not establish that a third-party case can turn every iPhone app into a two-screen workspace.
What the iPhone2Duo preview shows
- Closed: the intended outer display carries the current screen to the front of the case.
- Open: the inner display extends the visual workspace beside the iPhone while the outside display rests.
- Removable: the iPhone slides out and remains a separate, ordinary phone.
The preview has separate display surfaces with a seam between them. It does not show the iPhone’s original screen bending.

How the case connects, how it is powered, which apps can use the extra space, and how it performs in daily use. The animation establishes a design direction; hardware, iOS integration, durability and final dimensions still need validation.
The target price is $199 USD, excluding the iPhone. The free list records interest while development continues. It is not a purchase or a delivery promise.
